Snowflake Challenge catch-up

I wasn't going to do this, but now I'm tempted. Here are three catch up days. I think it'll be good for me. Yes, I'm leaving this public. :)

Day 1
In your own space, talk about why you're participating in Snowflake and, if you’ve participated in the past, how the challenge has affected you. What drew you to it? What did you take away from it? What do you hope to accomplish this year?
This is my first year and I've been curious about it since I've seen others do it on my friends list. I hope to accomplish a lot of fandom commissions, fanfic and original fic and graphic novels this year. I want to continue writing whether it's fanfic or original, and I want to improve my drawing skills, which will be fandom.
Tequila Sunrise by chantafable - [Harry Potter] Rose/Draco. Draco Malfoy's séjour on the island of Tenerife takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of a young English witch. There is also a really great remix of this fic: Sunset by dancingsalome. (This pairing really struck me and I love the treatment of both pieces.)
Footnotes by Camucia - [Star Wars] Rey/KyloRen. Post TLJ. Rey is having an incredibly difficult time deciphering the Jedi texts, much less actually gaining any meaning from them. In a moment of frustration, she knocks over the final, unopened volume, discovering that someone has left some very insightful commentary - and poetry. (I'm really into this lately.)
Firecracker by Trobadora - [Doctor Who] Thirteenth Doctor/Missy. "Isn't it obvious?" Missy said brightly. "Since you've taken the part of the villain, I had to go and play the hero." (Such a great dynamic of these two! My public-call fic gift.)

Day 2
In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.
My favorite memory of fandom is how active the Inuyasha fandom used to be, and I used to look forward to the fanguild awards, as well as the contest challenges on Livejournal. I met so many people in the IY fandom and I thank fandom for getting me to write more and hone my skills.

Day 3
In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create.
