Some of you are new to my journal, so I'm just going to give a short bio on me in case there's any confusion:

City: Chicago suburbs
 

I'm married to a man who is a Case Manager for Early Intervention, serving children with disabilities ages 0-3. I work as a User Experience Design consultant for a large IT consulting company, where I get to work for many clients. Right now I'm working for a client that is a well known brand of truck rentals. ;) I love to design and I love my job because I get to work from home, I have great benefits and so much flexibility. I'm also a proud volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America and a Troop mom of a Brownie.
 

I have a young daughter. She's my star and the light of my life. 

We have three pets; a Treeing Walker Coonhound named Holly (8), a beagle named Heidi (4) and a scrappy brown tiger tabby cat named Bastet (5).
 

I also freelance, doing graphic design, web design and editing. Also tarot reading.

I'm also a self-published author and try to do more original writing for publication.
 

We bought a house in 2016 and it was a good deal, but it needs a lot of upkeep so I will be talking about it for awhile, especially the landscaping and the garage. 
 

Hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, gardening, and baking. 

Fandoms: I'm not very active in fandom anymore. I occasionally join a Big Bang or fic event, but otherwise I focus on finishing WIPs and doing short stories when I have time. I have varied interests in shows, from asian dramas to anime to the Marvel series. 

Regular Fandoms: Doctor Who, The Apothecary Diaries, Heaven's Official Blessing, Yuri on Ice, MDZS, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Heroes, Love in the Air, Guardian, Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Good Omens, and Fence. I am addicted to Asian dramas, especially BL.
 

Politics are: LGBQT-advocate, super liberal, democratic socialist and Green. I am NEVER-Trump. 
 

Sexuality: I consider myself pansexual, though I've been married to my husband and the love of my life since 2008.
 

I consider myself a Dharma Pagan. Basically someone who follows Buddhist and Goddess-worship ideologies.
 
I have generalized anxiety and depression, and I work through it with my art, writing, and online journaling.

Hello! I'm Brandi of Ohio ^_^ Thanks for following back! You were one of the journals I stumbled across in my random-journal jaunt the other night and I thought, "This person seems cool." And I see from your li'l bio here that we have a lot in common! I'll do a similar mini-bio in my post today so that you can learn more about me. But here is a brief preview: I'm a writer but not yet published (got to actually finish something. that's how they get ya!), I love photography and am getting the itch to pick up my long-dormant hobby of drawing. I'm also a huge fan of Marvel and DC (my faves being the Defenders of Marvel + Spider-Man, and Batman of DC). I was a huge Inuyasha fan back in the day, and just seeing that title again makes me want to go back and binge it! I'm 42 going on 23. I also detest Trump, and I was annoyed that COVID closed down my polling station and prevented me from voting from Bernie in the Primaries. Oh well. I'm not a fan of Biden, but he's certainly much better than the alternative. I'm pretty far down the spectrum of asexual but also panromantic, and I'm married to a pansexual man.

I'll stop info-dumping on you now. Just wanted to give you enough to start an introduction on. I look forward to seeing you around DW!

I'm always up for meeting new cool people with the same interests.
Yay for another Marvel and DC fan! And Inuyasha!
And we are similar in age! I just turned 41.
YAY ANOTHER BERNIE STAN! Yeah, I was very disappointed Bernie didn't get to be president. I still support him like crazy and I hope he's keeping everyone on their toes.
Biden's okay, but yeah, like you said, the alternative was WORSE. I'd rather vote for roadkill than Dump.
